We have been so blessed in Reception this term with so many parents coming in to help in so very many ways. Alongside the day to day stream of readers and odd job helpers we have had some more specialised help too.
As a follow up to our hair dressers’ role play, Cameron’s Mum came in complete with mannequin for us all to style. She kindly showed us how to plait hair and we felt so proud of our efforts. If you’re in need of a trim or style then please do make an appointment. This role play has been totally planned for and organised by the children.
As you are all aware, the children decided we should build an airport in our other role play area so we have been busy sorting security, making passports, packing suitcases and building our very own aeroplane. Thanks to Zoe’s Mum and her friend we had a visit from two air stewardesses who checked us in on our flight to Barbados. They made sure we packed safely and passed through security. They then helped us board our flight, gave us the safety check and flew us away to our holiday destination.
Over the Bank Holiday weekend we were spoiled by the families who toiled away on our garden revamp. I am so very grateful to you all for your hard work and especially to Robyland for donating so much time, labour and resources to our outdoor area. The children have used the garden so well since its makeover.
A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO YOU ALL.
