Stop Press: Year 3 Reinvents Itself.

Dear friends of Year 4,

How happy I am to be back online. I have experienced technical difficulties but now I return, not with my poison pen but my feisty fingers, delivering the latest news from the community previously known as Year 3 and now reinventing itself as: YEAR 4. I write to you with the lovely news that YEAR 4 are the first class in the school to receive a certificate for maintaining a tidy classroom. This follows from recognition of our attendance! What a terrific way to launch ourselves into the limelight.

It has been fantastic. The Ancient Egyptians could not have suspected the way their culture would be captured by this group of Egyptologists in Stanstead Abbotts. You will not find mummies or sarcophagi like it anywhere.  I’ve been waiting to see pyramid shaped ginger bread on Bake Off only to endure bitter disappointment.

In other parish notices:

We look forward to seeing you again at the Curriculum meeting on the 5th.

The Harvest Service will also be held on the 5th October in church and you are all most welcome to attend.

Thank you to all of those parents who have volunteered to join us at the British Museum. I hope you have all received the letter. Many return slips have already made their arduous journey to the school office. In my travels from one continent to the other, from the southern hemisphere to the north, I have not encountered the problems that some of these letters have had in getting from the printer to your homes and back again.

I look forward to working with you this year and I would like to remind you that I am more than happy to speak with you at any time which is mutually convenient.
