We wish you all a happy, healthy and peaceful 2017. Thank you so much for the Christmas gifts, which have given us joy and sustenance to start the new term with renewed energy!
Following on from our highly successful Great Fire topic will be a real challenge: thank you so much to you all for supporting your child’s learning through practical and exciting homework including trips to Pudding Lane and the Monument, visiting and comparing traditional and modern bakeries, baking so many delightful cakes, biscuits and breads, writing diaries and creating fabulous artwork to share with the class. Our topic work now moves on and takes us boldly into the amazing world of the unknown, as we take ‘one small step’ into the history of explorers. We aim to find out all about their adventures and expeditions and how the amazing work of explorers impacts on our lives today. You may wish to start finding out explorer facts at home ready to impress us! Homework ideas will be sent home soon. This term we will also provide additional English and maths homework to support our learning in class.
We look forward to greeting you at the classroom door on Tuesday.
