Nursery Update

This week we have been doing some measuring in maths, including measuring ourselves and talking about how we all grow at different rates. We have been listening for initial sounds and learning about alliteration in our phonics sessions, please encourage your children to do this at home too.
We enjoyed acting out ‘The Gruffalo’ story at Forest School on Thursday, if you have this book at home you could see if your child can help you retell the story and join in with some of the repeated phrases. We took the Nursery children through to the Reception classroom today for Collective Worship, Mrs Lewis told the story of Noah’s Ark with the props from our new ‘Noah’s Ark’ resource set.
We are focusing on developing the children’s cutting skills this half term, if you would like any cutting sheets to do at home please ask one of the members of staff and we can provide you with some.
As always, we welcome anyone who would like to come in and help for the morning so please sign up on the parent rota in the green room if you can spare some time.
Don’t forget it is the St Andrews Marathon on Saturday 20th May and we would love for you to come along for this fun event, if you haven’t returned your form yet please do so as soon as possible.
Enjoy the weekend.
