Rain Rain go away! come again when we are not in forest school – Year One Blog

Wow! We have had such a lovely week in Year One again. The children are all so engaged with our topic, this week we have created school reports for Zog the dragon. We have now got a dragon in the classroom hanging over our castle which the children love playing in. We have also started to look at Harvest and autumn.  As a class we have created an acrostic poem and drawn pictures of a butternut squash and pumpkin, the children were very excited to see the pumpkin as Mrs Arnold had grown it at home and it was not the normal orange colour. We will be sharing all of these things at our Harvest assembly on Friday at church. We also used our butternut squash to make soup which we all enjoyed some more than others!

This afternoon we visited forest school in the rain! We explored the area but decided to head in as the rain got heavier. From now on please can you ensure your child comes to school on forest school days with a rain coat and wellington boots. the children must come to school in their uniform and we will then change for our afternoon session.
