Hello all. Before I try to capture the last few weeks I just want to thank you all for your kindness and compassion over the last few weeks. The flowers and card are beautiful and gratefully received.
Another week has flashed by and has been filled with more amazing work. So many children are now blending and showing they are ready to read simple words. Thank you for your perseverance with this at home. It really shows. It was lovely to see so many of you at Thursday’s Show and Share. Your children continue to amaze me with their pace and joy of learning. I hope the phonics work was helpful and you picked up some handy tips to try at home.
It is full steam ahead with Christmas and everyone has been exploring the stable area, trying on various costumes and acting out the Nativity. Next week we will send home the lines for The Sleepy Shepherd, our Reception Nativity which will be performed in the hall on 12th December.
We were very fortunate this week to have a wonderful parent (Owen’s Mum) come in to speak to the children about road safety and traffic sense. She had prepared a vast range of activities and resources which all the children tried and they all seem to have remembered the green cross code. STOP! LOOK! LISTEN! (hold hands) and CROSS ONLY WHEN IT IS SAFE. On these dark evenings when visibility is poor it is a great idea to wear something reflective when out and about.
Enjoy the photos and hopefully I will see you later at the Christmas Fair.
