Well done to our team of Year 3 scientists this week!
The children completed a range of investigations with maturity and enthusiasm. The write ups for these investigations were fantastic and I’m sure that the children will be eager to tell you all about the new scientific knowledge that they have gained. A special well done to Harry Reed our scientist of the week for his brilliant recordings, and to Holly Mead for a fantastic write up after the candy cane investigation.
Also this week, some children in the class have had the opportunity to make their snow globes. Unfortunately, we underestimated the interest in this activity and have run out of glycerin to go inside of the globes. Normal service will continue next week and any children who have not yet made a snow globe will be able to get theirs finished!
Homework has been set and details are inside of the children’s homework books. This week’s activity is on Mathletics (logins are inside the front cover of the children’s books).
An additional, but optional task for the children to complete is to produce a poster for a mathematical word problem of the children’s choice. The children will be able to tell you more about this should they want to complete it.
Please remember that next week is the Celtic Harmony trip. The children will need to wrap up warm on Thursday. (Two pairs of socks are advised!). The children should come to school in Celtic dress with their school jumpers and old trousers/thermals underneath (as per the letter).
Have a great weekend
Mr C and Mrs Robb!
