Our school is linked with the Parish Church of St. Andrew.
The school has good links with the local church, sharing events and displays. The church is used for festival services as well as a place of learning. Acts of worship in church are well supported by parents. The vicar has a high profile in school and provides pastoral support when needed. [The children] describe the input of the vicar as ‘tells us about Jesus and how to respect other people’.

St. Andrew’s is a church school with strong and active links to the local Parish Church of St. Andrew’s (St. Alban’s Diocese), which is in easy walking distance of the school in Cappell Lane.
The school goes as a family to St. Andrew’s to worship four times a year; Harvest and Christmas in the Autumn Term, for our Easter Service in the Spring Term and for our Leaver’s Service at the end of the school year. Rev. Anne, our vicar, or a member of her church team, also lead a Pentecost Service in our School Hall during the Summer Term. Parents and friends are warmly invited to worship with us at all these services. The Church Team also lead worship in school on Wednesday mornings, when their teaching informs and enhances the Christian dimension of the current Values’ focus.
St. Andrew’s is a Grade II listed building, built in 1881. It is a beautiful and warmly welcoming church. It has a PA system and Induction loop.
St. Andrew’s is evangelical and benefits from several links with missions overseas. All Nations Christian College is nearby in the parish, with students from all around the world, and some of their children attend our school. The services on a Sunday are at 8.45am (Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer); 10.15am which follows a monthly pattern of Holy Communion, Morning Worship, and Family Worship; and 6.30pm Communion or Evening Prayer, sometimes held in the Community Room at Chapelfields. Children are very welcome at the morning services and there are Sunday School groups as well as crèche/play boxes for the younger children.
