The week Year 6 have spent a lot of time thinking about our value of perseverance. On Thursday I set the class the challenge of learning to juggle to the sound of moaning and groaning. “I can’t do it!”, “It’s too hard!” were just a couple of the phrases we unpicked before we began. By the end of our session all the children had shown an improvement and had built their confidence. This just shows that if we start the task with the right attitude, we can achieve.
Next week in maths we look at ‘properties of shape’ and in English we will be starting our next topic based around the book ‘Hermelin – the Detective Mouse’ by Mini Grey.
