Another busy week in Year 4

It has been a busy week in Year 4. We have been revising our prior knowledge of times tables facts from Year 3 and also looking at new ones such as the 7s, 8s and 9s. We have been using a range of strategies such as flash cards, games, interactive resources and turbo tables. The children have worked hard!

Also this week, we have been continuing with our English learning based around the story of James and the giant peach. The children are engaging with the book very well and are positively enthused.

Finally, as part of our black history month focus, we began our research into the incredible life of Sir Trevor McDonald. The children are beginning to understand why he was such an important figure in black history and journalism as a whole.

Have a great weekend,

Mr Chesterman
