What a very busy week its been in year 3!
We have begun to use inverted commas in literacy, learnt how to tell the time in maths and designed pictures of our new friends Voldetort, Spike and Buddy in art.
Its easy to see that the children have been working very hard on their spellings at home with some brilliant results this week! In addition to this I have seen the start of some excellent hedgehog fact file projects – well done to Charlotte and Jaycie-Lee for their amazingly creative front covers!
I have also introduced a new homework book for each child – inside there will be a homework task for each week set on the Friday (due dates will be at the top of each piece of work). There is also a challenge included which is optional and has no due date.
Finally, and fitting in with our book of The Hodgeheg, we have introduced the children to two new friendly hedgehogs named Horace and Henrietta. The pair will be sent home on a Friday each week with two children who will then be able to log in their diaries a recount of their weekend spent together – please do not feel you have to do anything too exciting but any stories of day trips are welcomed! Feel free to include pictures (the children will be able to tell you more about the diaries).
Have a great weekend
