The children have worked incredibly hard this week in year 3.
In literacy the children have all produced fantastic diary entries today after carefully and thoughtfully planning them over the course of the week. In maths we have been looking at measurement, and in particular, length. The children are now more familiar with the language of ‘millimetres, centimetres and metres’ and have learnt how to compare lengths saying whether one is longer/shorter than another.
In topic we have moved into the Iron age which I can tell that the children are really excited for – I can see they all know some very interesting facts already!
I have chosen not to set a homework this week because I have noticed that the children have been rather tired recently – please feel free to complete some mathletics work online if you would like. The children have had their books changed today and also have their usual spellings and timestables to practice.
Finally, just a quick reminder that the children will need to be in their PE kits when they arrive at school on Monday morning at the slightly earlier time of 8:40.
Have a great weekend!
