It has been a very busy week in Year 3.
In literacy we have been studying formal report writing and have looked at many examples of these to inform our own writing of some today. The children will be self reflecting and ‘up leveling’ these next week before we move onto looking at persuasive writing.
In maths we have been persevering and using our growth mindset while answering multiplication and division word problems – all the times tables practice is now coming in very handy!
Our trip to the ‘Science alive’ base in Harlow will be on Wednesday next week, the children should come to school and be dressed as normal, ready to leave at 9:30. We return to school at 12:30 so lunch arrangements will stay unchanged from a normal day.
Also next week, I have organised for the children to partake in a tag rugby session Friday morning. The session will be taken by an experienced rugby coach and is a great opportunity for the children to try something new and become ‘have-a-go heroes’. The children should bring warm sports clothes into school and football/rugby boots (if possible) as we will be on the field. If your child does not have a pair of boots this is fine, however sports trainers are strongly advised.
Have a great weekend,
