Good Afternoon Reception!

I hope you’re all enjoying the beautiful sunshine. As it is a bank holiday tomorrow we will not be posting a blog, however, I have a couple of ideas that you can do! Remember, all these activities do not need to be completed by any date so please do not feel pressured!

As it is VE day tomorrow, I thought of a couple of ideas that the children can do. These include;

Draw a picture of a child during that time period and then one of yourself today. Can you compare the similarities and differences between them? What are they wearing? What are you wearing that is different? How do you think they might be feeling on VE day? Can you write a sentence explaining your findings?

Design and create a medal. This can either be for the soldiers who were exceptionally brave and courageous or to symbolise your appreciation for the NHS during this time. Medals are given to individuals who have displayed a significant amount of bravery during a difficult period of time and therefore I thought to apply it to 2020, we could create some medals to support the NHS.

I hope you all enjoy your bank holiday weekend! I would love to see some pictures of your designs and pictures to hopefully post on the blog next week!

Stay safe and keep smiling,

Miss Phillips 🙂
