22.6.20- Work for the Week

Hi everyone,

You may, or may not, have noticed that there are two new links in the information at the top of our Year 1 blog page. These are two new videos that I have made for you to help with home learning. The first is cursive handwriting instruction and the second is all the sounds the children have learnt- from Phase 2 to 5. Please watch them if they will help and let others know in our class.

Here is the work for the week.

Maths- Multiplication and Division.

Here are the links to the video. Open this document and each day is a separate link:

This week, we have been inspired by our minibeast hunt to create clay butterflies. I will post some pictures on here when they are done. This week, I am asking you to create a piece of art/ craft work based on a minibeast of your choice.

In addition to this, I have also set up a class log-in for Oxford Owl. You can access the website here: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/

When you have accessed the website, you need to click on ‘My Class Login’.

The username is stayearone323 and the password is: oxfordowl .

Once you are in, you will find free reading books. There are some spelling resources suitable for Year 2 onwards but as the children will be doing these next year, it might be worth having a look prior to the academic year.

Don’t forget to keep e-mailing me your work!

Miss Muncey
