This week I have 4 English activities and 5 maths worksheets for you to have a go at. This works out at around 1 each per day, just as all classes are doing. I am providing them all in one go so you may choose which one you do first. The English work is all based around Roman Myths.
English Task 1
Please read the story of Ganymede and create a story map/comic strip/story river summarising the story. Check any words you do not understand and learn what they mean. If you are not sure what a story river looks like, google it 🙂
English Task 2
Please read Dreams of destiny below and colour code the verbs, adjectives, nouns and adverbs. You can take 4 colours and highlight or underline the correct ones. Feel free to google the word classes if you are still not sure which is which.
English Task 3
Please read the Romulus and Remus Story below, and answer the questions on the other link. You can do this verbally with an adult, or write answers down and work independently.
English Task 4
Create a fact file about a Roman God or Goddess of your choice. There are some website links on the attached document below to help you.
This week in maths, I would like you to refine your multiplication skills; this involves improving your fact recall of 2, 5 and 10 x tables, and 3,4 and 8 times table. I would recommend that the children draw out dienes/base 10 blocks to support them with the division and multiplication. We have covered this in class before. I also recommend watching some clips like this to support the written aspect of multiplication. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k68CPfcehTE
