11.6.20 Morning Year 5!

It was lovely to be able to chat to lots of you on the phone yesterday. If I didn’t get to speak to you, I did try to call, and I’ll try again! It was great to catch up with you and hear about what you’ve been getting up to.

If you’re looking for some extra things to do, Mrs Thomas has set a new challenge on class blog and, in case you’ve missed it, there is a link to a Science magazine on the Purple Mash blog. You’ll also find a post with a video of a Science experiment that Luca did at home. Have a look; it’s pretty cool!  Maybe you could try the experiment too?

Ideas for the day:

Maths – Round to estimate and approximate

English – Today you will be looking at, and reflecting on, a poem The Great Realisation, which was written recently during  lockdown.

Science (for the week) – Find out about life cycles  of a  mammal, an amphibian, an insect and a bird. How you present your learning is up to you.  Watch the film below to get you started!
