12.6.20 Happy Friday!

Morning Year 5.

I wonder if you’ve managed to start the reading challenge – the website is where you log what books you have read. Don’t forget that you can get e-books to read on the Oxford Owl website (see Monday’s post for login details). If you’re looking for something a bit different, Mrs Thomas has added another post to the school blog.  Did any of you try Luca’s experiment?

I’ve given you a choice for English as lots of us have written to our MP  before. You might have new ideas about what you’d want to write, but if you’d prefer to do a different task, there is a second option.

Ideas for the day:

Maths – Inverse operations addition and subtraction

English – You have a choice of what you would prefer to do.

If you would like to do some write to your MP based on the poem yesterday, click on the first link and go to Day 5. If you’d prefer to do some reading of the start of a book, The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, and some activities based on what you’ve read, go to the second link.

Science– Finish off your Science work for the week. Find out about life cycles  of a  mammal, an amphibian, an insect and a bird. How you present your learning is up to you.  Watch the film below to get you started!
