13.7.20 Home learning for the week

Morning Year 5!

We’ve finally made it to the last week of term!  It’s been lovely to be back at school with you all over the last few weeks even if it’s been a little different to normal.  Hopefully, we will have a class zoom on Wednesday, where you can see the whole class. I’ll try my best to make it work, but technology has not always been my side!

It would be great if you could bring in this week any school books that you have at home so that they can be put back in the school library ready for next year.

If you still have some home schooling energy left, here are some activities you might like to do when you’re not at school this week:

Maths – These tasks are for the three days that you’re not in school:

Task 1 – Converting units of time

Task 2 – Timetables

Task 3 – Practise your times tables! You could use Mathletics, make times table cards, go on Monster Multiplication on Purple Mash, or any other method that you like.

English – Last week, I gave you the link below, which  is a booklet with lots of different English tasks on the theme of wizards. There were lots of different activities, so there should be plenty for you to have a go at this week as well. I don’t expect you to do all the tasks. Have a look through the booklet, and just chose a few that you’d like to do.

Other ideas:  The booklet mainly contains English activities, but it also contains other things you might like to try, for example, some Science experiments, or designing your own school. Maybe the wizard theme will inspire you with some other ideas – you could create some wizard inspired artwork, build a model, or make some wizard inspired food dishes!

This is the last week of home learning, so feel free to do some learning about anything that interests you!
