2.6.20 Greetings Year 5

It looks like it’s going to be a sunny day, so make sure you spend some time out enjoying the lovely weather today!

Just for Fun Challenge – This week we would like you to re-create a famous moment in history. Think England winning the World Cup, Man landing on the moon or Usain Bolt winning the 100m. Let your imagination go wild! Remember to send in your entries.

Ideas for the day:

MathsSummer Term Week 6 (w/c 1st June) Lesson  1 Multiply unit and non-unit fractions by integers. We are skipping from Week 4 to the current week as we’ve recently covered lots of the fraction work in these weeks.

Don’t forget to use the video to help you and the answers to check your work.

English – This week’s English is all related to lockdown – we are on Day 2 in the link below. Today you will revisiting the message you looked at yesterday, and then writing your own message to yourself.  If you don’t mind sharing what you’ve written, post it to the Purple Mash blog. You could upload the words of your message, or some of you might even be able to upload a video of you saying your message, like the example one!  It would be great to be able to have a look at each others messages.

Music (project for the week) – See Monday’s post for ideas for this week’s project.   If you fancy doing some art related to music, then you might like to look at the link below. You listen to a piece of music – The Firebird by Stravinsky –  and then create some artwork.
