Almost at the end of another week, Year 5! Well done for all your hard work. I’ve enjoyed reading all your letters and poems this week.
Just for Fun Challenge – This week we would like you to re-create a famous moment in history. Think England winning the World Cup, Man landing on the moon or Usain Bolt winning the 100m. Let your imagination go wild! Remember to send in your entries.
Ideas for the day:
Maths – I have set you three Mathletics tasks for today. One is recapping fractions of amounts from yesterday, and the other two about decimals and percentages.
English –This week’s English is all related to lockdown – we are on Day 5 in the link below. Today you will be looking at a poem by Michael Rosen, identifying verbs and nouns and then writing your own poem. You could type your poem onto a template in 2publish, or do it by hand. Maybe you could illustrate your poem too? Share your poem with the rest of the class by posting it to the Purple Mash blog! If you want to see an example one, look at Nathan’s lockdown poem on the blog.
Music (project for the week) – Finish off your Music project if you haven’t already – see Monday’s post for details.
Enjoy your day! 🙂
