Here we are at the start of another week. I hope you had a good weekend and managed to get out and about – hopefully you weren’t caught in too many downpours!

Ideas for the day:

Other activities you might like to do this week –

  • Mrs Gillingham introduced the reading challenge in her update this week. Sign up and start the challenge!  http://www.sillysquad.org.uk
  • To give you access to some e-books and spelling resources, I have set up a class login for http://oxfordowl.co.uk        Once you have accessed the site, click ‘My class login’ at the top of the page.Enter this username and password:

    Username: year5sta

    Password: Reading123

You then have access to e-books and some spelling resources. This links to the spelling books that you have at home. You could fill in the next unit of your spelling book and then try some extra practice online. You could read one of the e-books as part of your reading challenge.

  • Mrs Thomas is setting various challenges/questions – maybe you’d like to try one. Have a look at her posts on the class blog to find out more. She recently asked some questions about potatoes!!

Enjoy!
