I do always enjoy reading your posts on Purple Mash. There have been some brilliant poems recently and I really must try the ice cream recipe Hannah posted! Have you signed up for the reading challenge yet? Make sure you log onto Oxford Owl too to get access to e-books. (Look at yesterday’s post for details)
If you’re looking for something a bit different to do, check out Mrs Thomas’s posts on the blog. She is giving new ideas every couple of days. Yesterday’s post was about imagining what a tree might have seen in its lifetime.
Ideas for the day:
Maths – Add numbers with more than 4 digits
English – We are continuing to base our English work around life since lockdown. Below is the link for the whole week – today is Day 2. Today you will be reading some newspaper articles about inspiring stories from lockdown. You are then asked to share your thoughts by writing a ‘Lockdown Inspiration’ paragraph. I have added a 2do where you can write your thoughts. It is on 2write which is collaborative, so you should be able to see other people’s ideas as they add them. Read what others have written (unless you’re first!) and then add your thoughts below theirs. If it works, we should end up with all the ideas from the class in one place.
Science (for the week) – Find out about life cycles of a mammal, an amphibian, an insect and a bird. How you present your learning is up to you. Watch the film below to get you started!
