Tuesday 31st March – Year 5

Morning Year 5

It looks like a sunny day today, so make sure you spend some time outside enjoying the sunshine.

It was great to see that many of you completed the Mathletics tasks and also had a try at yesterday’s grammar activity on Purple Mash.  Well done to Poppy and Charlotte who earned a Mathletics certificate last week and a special mention to Caitlin who received a bronze certificate last week and has already earned a silver certificate this week!

Some ideas for today’s activities:

PE – Joe Wicks at 9am, or some outdoor PE –  if you have a garden, maybe you could set up an obstacle course?

Spelling – complete the Special Focus 6 in your spelling book

Reading – Spend some time reading a book (and you might also complete a challenge from the Reading Challenge)

Maths – Keep your times tables up to scratch.  I have set a multiplication game  on PurpleMash for you to do at some point this week – you could try that – or you could make times table cards.

History/English – I have set a PurpleMash writing task that I would like you to try and complete over this week.  You will need to write about Viking family life. Today you could start by doing some research and making notes, so that you can do the task over the next few days. Here are a couple of websites to get you started.

As always, don’t worry if you don’t get all of this done, and if you would like extra ideas there are more tasks on the Viking activities sheet, or just do some learning in about something you find interesting.

Take care Year 5
