Monday 4th May (Star Wars Day)

Good morning Year 6!

I hope you are well and have had a nice weekend.

As well as all the usual work this week, I am also going to set you an additional challenge for a bit of fun. Last week Miss Sewell and Year 5 were set the challenge to re-create famous pieces of art. Now it’s your turn! For inspiration I had a go myself this weekend and you can look at year 5’s blog to see what they got up to.

My attempt at ‘Son of Man’ by Magritte

‘The Last Supper’ by George

11:00- English – Oliver Twist

This half term we were going to be listening to the story of Oliver Twist in class. I have attached a link where you can access each chapter of the story. I would like you today to listen to chapter 1 and then write a diary entry for the old gentleman, describing how you are robbed, and your feelings when the apparent robber is caught.

P.M – Science – This half term our topic is ‘Animals Including Humans’

Today  I would like you to look at ‘blood’ and create a poster/fact-file/presentation about it. Consider what makes up blood (and what percentages) and what each of these components does. Then add any other interesting facts you can find out.
