It is already the last week of term and we have a very busy week planned! It is Arts week and our theme is ‘Once upon a time’! This fits in well with the Traditional Tales that we have been reading this term and the story of the week is Jack and the Beanstalk.
Tomorrow we will be engaging in lots of art and creative activities, including making our very own beanstalk for our classroom! Wednesday we will be dressing up for Book day, children can dress up as a character from a book and if they have a copy we would like them to bring in the book to share! Thursday we will be going to the Church for the Easter service where we will be singing ‘ Hot cross buns’ with Reception! We will be having a ‘Show and share’ session from 11 am, you are very welcome to join your child in Nursery to look at their Learning Journal to see what they have been up to. Friday marks the end of the Spring term and Nursery will finish at normal time.
Please bring in any Spring items you find this week to add to our Spring display! We have visited the chicks and the tadpoles in Reception again today and have being talking about how things grow. The theme of ‘growth’ will continue after Easter and you are welcome to bring in any photos or small items for the children to ‘show and tell’ and add to our display.
PS We will be sending home ‘Holiday News’ sheets for you and your children to draw or write on about what they enjoy doing over the Easter break. Please bring these back on the first day back at school after the Easter weekend. Wishing you all a fun filled Easter break!
