Nursery Admissions

The following information applies to  children born between 1st September 2018 and 31st August 2019.

Hello and welcome to our prospective parents for Nursery Class September 2022.

HCC is required by law to deliver 15 hours a week of free Early Years provision for all 3 and 4 year olds.

St Andrew’s offers full time provision of 3 hours per session, 5 days a week from 8.45 – 11.45am.  Places will be allocated to 30 children for the mornings-only Nursery. Children are expected to attend all five
mornings to ensure continuity in their learning and access to the whole curriculum.

Nursery Admissions opened on 5th January, 2022. To apply for St Andrew’s Nursery, parents / carers are required to complete the Nursery Application Form and Provisional Supplementary Nursery Requirement Form. Application forms and additional information can be downloaded directly from the website (see below), or a paper copy can be collected from the School Office. All forms will  need to be returned either to the School Office or by email to admissions@standrews323.herts.sch.uk by Monday, 28th February 2022 for the application to be considered on time.

30 hours childcare provision for Nursery children

In partnership with Bobtails Playgroup, we are able to offer parents 30 hours free childcare provision on the same school site. This is an extra 15 hours per week, to those parents who are eligible, in addition to the children’s existing 15 hours free early education (Nursery) funding.

This provision is offered in the afternoons:

  • St Andrew’s Primary (Nursery) – Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (6 hours)
  • Bobtails Playgroup – Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons (9 hours)
